You can ask God's forgiveness by repenting in prayer in a private room. You can as well ask a preacher to help you then ask your God to forgive you from what you have done and help you to overcome the habit.
If you are a believer then you are forgiven. You need to try some preventative prayer. When in a situation that you feel tempted in you need to talk to God then not just for forgiveness after the fact. We all stumble but we all need to leave behind the things of the world that lead us to sin.
(((1John1:9))) If we confess our sins he (God) is faithful or (can be trusted) and just to forgive our sins and cleans us from all unrighteousness. I'm just going to close my big mouth and let the spirit of God's word do what he does best and that's love on your contrite heart. (((You are free)))
Any mortal sin is bad enough to kill the life of God's grace in our souls. Without this grace, we cannot enter heaven. The only way to be pure again is to be forgiven of our sins - by God. And He is always willing to forgive us. We come to Him through prayer for repentance, and He will forgive us. But to be fully pure of sin again, more is required. For forgiveness of sins, we must take the sacrament of Reconciliation (or, Confession). It is here we confess our sins to a priest. Jesus, two thousand years ago, gave His disciples the power to forgive people of their sins. The apostles passed this special gift down to their successors, and they to their successors (bishops, popes and priests). Today, we must go to confess our sins to a priest and God will forgive us. The confessional is in the Church. People taking confession may find it to be hard sometimes, and they may find themselves nervous. Luckily, Fr. Frederick L. Miller, S.T.D., has made a guide to the sacrament of Reconciliation. (My answer continues in the comments)

I've answered this before but I don't mind answering it again. The Lord forgives all that come unto him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, asking for forgiveness with full purpose of heart, truly repenting and then forsaking that sin. Have faith, believe in the atonement, forgive yourself and others. I remember feeling so guilty and bad for doing something that I was in tears and I prayed for forgiveness, and didn't understand why I didn't feel forgiven. I then got the impression that I needed to forgive myself. I think sometimes the hardest people to forgive are ourselves, but to feel better, we need to do that. We can block out feeling the love the savior feels for us and his forgiveness from his atonement if we don't forgive ourselves. If you feel guilty, and repented, then you are forgiven.
When you want God to forgive you you should feel guilty about these things you've done , have the intention of not doing it again and begging him to forgive you , you can say for example :" Please God forgive me , you're the most forgiving " . Show him your regret while praying .
