Your parents will still dictate your way of living or be responsible of you as long as you are still living under their roof. You need to move out and be independent so as to exercise your freedom since you have already attained the age of adulthood.
I lived with my parents until I was 24 & they had a curfew for me. They would occasionally threaten to take the keys to my car because technically, it was their car. I can't imagine them taking away something I paid for with my own money.
until the age of 18 a minor's possession's technically under the law belong to their parents/ guardians. however you are 21 and past that, so the answer is no. if the object in question is truly yours they can not legally. that includes gifts to you not just things you bought. for example if they bought you a bed, its your bed, you own it because they gave it to you. if it was bought for the family however then no you can not.
back to your original question, can they take away your possessions? No, not legally. But they can kick you out without any notice. since its their house and its not uninhabited and you have no rental agreement (im assuming) they dont even need to tell you, they can change the locks before you come home and tell you, "you have 30 days to pick up your stuff or it gets sent to the dump."
bottom line, DONT ROCK THE BOAT. you live at home, be grateful and respect their wishes. u could be homeless just like that.

...We are Landlords-Even if you were a Tenant in their House, they could not Legally steal or take your possessions...Also, if you are of Legal age, remember to Respect their Property...and don't Destroy or Harm anything.Young Adults should attempt to stand on their own;you can Throw Out any Emotional Issues relating to the parents...these are Not helpful to you.Time to get Out of the Nest...No Excuses.Leave with some Dignity ( ...and a Plan). Most parents are Proud of their Young when they Try Hard to make their way in Life.Just Do it.Time to Fly,little Bird. Westie.
