What do I do? (read details)

ok well I like this guy and my friend already asked him if he likes me and he said just as a friend. my friend who asked him said that I should tell him that I like him, but if I do he might embarrass me in front of everybody. she think he likes me because I sent him a text that I met to send to her(the girl who asked). the text said I can stop thinking about (the name of my crush and the guy I am talking about right now) after I sent it to him I told him that text was met for someone els and he said it's ok we can pretend that text never existed. he is sweet to me when were texting but at school he acts like a jerk. what do I do!?!? oh, sorry if I confused you. I just don't want to give their names out.

Based on your description, I suggest that you try creating a friendship bond with him. You can do this by spending time with him for him to get comfortable around you. If he likes you back, he will tell you hence observe patience.

I think you already have your answer, he has told you (through your friend) that he thinks of you as just a friend, nothing more. I'm sure he read the text and already knows how you feel and has offered to pretend it never happened so you can save face. He is being nice so he won't break your heart but his treatment of you clearly shows he has no interest. Find a new crush.
