Can I ask my sons Mother to show me proof of insurance for her and her live in boyfriend? He drives my son. Please see additional detail.

The boyfriend had requested to drive on school field trips and the school ran a background check and told him no because of a driving conviction and expired license. I have asked the Mother for assurance as our court paper work clearly states that neither parent can let the child be transported in an unsafe vehicle, or with an uninsured or unlicensed driver. She tells me it is none of my business.

none of your business -- i will be dang --- putting your child in harms way by letting a un-licenced - un - insured driver and it dont matter if vehicle is insured or not it is node and void with him driving and he dont even have enough sense not to have the school run him nor trying to drive other children and adults on a school trip and they probably said convictions and a suspended or revoked licence --- you can ask but the school already told you and why would they lie -- they have access to run checks and obtain the info . -- i would make sure if i was you that he wouldnt be driving my child any where what ever it takes ..

I think you have the mandate to ask your son's mother to show you a proof of insurance. This is because it already is stated in the court paper work that neither of the parents should drive the son in an uninsured vehicle. However, you need to consult a lawyer for more clarification on this.

Hell with that crap. I'd be worried about my child being around that dude period. Damn straight you can ask her. If she won't allow it go to your pond scum (lawyer) --have him/ her file with the court--she's not meeting the requirements of the custody order--frag her ass. Yes I've been through the same deal, it took 8 years to get full physical custody & full legal custody. bottom line-she's putting your child's life in the hands of someone unsafe.

When it comes to children all bets are off. I'm usually a reserved type of person, don't look for trouble, life's to short to sweat the small stuff. When it comes to kids, I have absolutely no problems with hurting someone-period I will mess you up,
