Also a cracked head and or block, may be leaking coolant into cylinders. White smoke in the morning then clearing upon the engine warmup, is just condensation from cool nights, no worry on that one. Not sure if your car has a vacuum modulator on the trans, if they go bad the engine will pull trans fluid into the cars intake, and smoke. Hope this helps.
If the smoke is black in color, it indicates that the vehicle is running too rich or getting too much fuel. White smoke will indicate a blown gasket and blue smoke will indicate burning oil in the combustion chamber. This could be a result of blow-by of piston rings hence you will need to replace them.
