it shows we arent as good as we brag to be, and someones better than us at something.....I think, saying I think after things makes you sound smarter :) was that a mistake? Im so embarrassed that everyone on this question gets too see this now, hope that helps.
Because we don't want to learn the hard way, we are responsible for every decision we make and or decision we don't make, fear of consequence is the reason, fear cripples us and we need to conquer it or it will conquer us.
Some people are afraid of making mistakes because they fear people will think they are stupid or incompetent. The thing to remember is everyone makes them. The smart people learn from them.
I was recently asked by someone giving a seminar what one thing should people graduating be told. My answer was...If you make a mistake, admit it, ask for help to fix it if you need to, and learn from it.
If i never did something before i call and find someone who has. A smart move like this help me to make as littlle mistakes as possible. I dont focus on if im gonna make a mistake. I focus on trying to do it right the first time. Thus i am humble enough to admit i dont know anything and ask for help. Thats my take on that
Because most people correlate the word mistakes with "failure". And we can't deny the fact that mistakes often cause something bad or unpleasant. Only the optimistic ones are those who are ready for i, and have the ability to look at the brighter side of committing mistakes which is, "learning from them". In a way, not all people are optimistic. Just my opinion..
Because usually when we make mistakes, the lesson learned is often painful. The pain can be physical...like learning quite quickly not to touch a hot stove. Mistakes can be humiliating, which is painful. Mistakes can hurt the ones we care about, and that hurts...who WANTS to deliberately hurt someone we love? Etc. Hence, it makes us a bit more pensive. Cautious. And yep. Even fearful.
Rich who's made quite a lot of mistakes & still learning.
People sometimes judge you because of a mistake you made. This makes people worried or scared that other people might see them differently than how they want to be seen but really, if you don't make a mistake then how will you know what happens if it does happen?
