During large battles online on Diablo 3, it will start to lag. Why is this? [More details included]

So I played the beta version of Diablo 3, and it ran fine during normal play even with the settings on high. (This is on a laptop). But when a lot of monsters will be on the screen and/or boss battles it will start to go all choppy and laggy. I have not tried it on single player, so I can only say this has been happening on multiplayer. My specs are more than suffice to run the game and I'm not sure whats lagging it. Please answer if you have a clue. [If you want to see my specs, look at my previous questions, it should tell you what i have]

There is no "single-player". You always have a strong tie to the server. It could be client-side if it lags during peak processing points in the game. It's hard to tell since you're also having peak network activity at the same time due to the game's design. All drops and whatnot are received from the server.

I think the lagging problem might be due to the graphics card, which can't support the game well. Another thing might be that it happens on the multiplayer mode. You can try single player to see if that will happen.

Not the graphics card if you can run the game. Game performance lag is noticeable, but if everyone experiences lag at the same time, it's likely due to Blizzards servers. .... u got to expect server lag when a new game like this launches
