My throat hurts and in a hour I have to go to a bat mitzvah... Now do I help my throat?

you could gargle with salt water.

One tsp lemon juice followed by 1 tsp honey. It only helps for a short time though.

...Just buy some Chloroseptic Spray at Any Drugstore.It will Completely Numb the Throat..Spray sorta Heavy.Westie.

One tablespoon of:
Water
Vinegar
Baking soda
Salt (if you want)
(I know, it sounds gross but it helps)
Mix it up in a glass.
Gargle it.
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER YOU DO THIS.
Have fun at the Bat Mitzvah and feel better! :)

Gargle warm salt water then take a couple of Halls and/or cough drops.

Motrin together with any of the other choices ppl have posted. Do not take any narcotic medication not prescribed to you tho could be very dangerous
