Robert E. Lee was the Head General of the Confederate Army. First, President Lincoln want Lee to be a Commander of the Union Army. But, Lee had sided with his home state and taken the offer of General of the Confederate Army. He soon emerged as a shrewd tactician and battlefield commander, winning numerous battles against larger Union armies. But took heavy casualties at the Battle of Gettysburg, and was defeated. A heavy lost for the Rebel Army. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House, ending the war.

Your Answers seem the most accurate do you think you could tell me About the Spies during the Civil War or about how did there surgery operations go? did they have any special medical tents? or something?
Report as
Spies were usually among officers, since information was easier to get a hold of, because of their higher rank. I really don't know much else about that topic. Surgery usually ended in Amputation. First they would use a drug that would put the soldier unconscience
Report as
Unconscious. Than they will begin with a blade, cutting around the arm. All the way to the bone. Then they will take out a bone saw, and cut through. Did they have an surgery tents? Well, most of them were surgery. And hygiene was poor. They would use the same blade and saw, without washing. Most that received treatment; died of a disease.

Robert E. Lee was the general of the Confederate Army, before he used to be part of the Union. He lost the Civil War.

I think you mean Robert E. Lee. He was one of two generals of the confederacy, the other being "stone wall" Jackson. He was the only one to live to the end, because Jackson was shot by his own man. He was short and had problems with falling asleep at random times.

He was the best general the confederates had and he was responsible for almost every confederate victory and he surrendered at the hands of Ulysses S. Grant
