Water pills, or more properly, diuretics, are powerful drugs. Unless you're taking them for a real, medical reason, they can be dangerous. They can throw off the electrolyte balance of your body, and that can cause all kind of problems, including heart attacks. Water weight is just that, water weight. Losing water weight does nothing about a real weight problem. That requires a sensible, healthy, physician-approved weight loss plan. In short, water is not fat.
