So you don't care about money? How, then, are you going to live? In the wilderness, growing and/or hunting your food? Using the skins as clothing? Using the fat of the animal to make soap so you can wash? Pahleeze!!!!I think you need to go to school with an open mind instead of thinking so adamantly, like most teens, that you know everything and you know more than the adults who have gone before you. We've been where you are and gotten through to the other side. We might just have a clue as to what we are talking about.
Work, for most people, isn't the most exciting activity. Right now, your "work" is going to school. It's important to learn how to read well, write a coherent paragraph, do at least basic mathematics, learn something of how government works, etc. Even more important than all of that, it's important to learn how to think critically so you can make good decisions about all kinds of things.
You go to school to learn! If its boring, you're not putting as much into it as you should! Therefore, not getting as much out of it! * Have you ever noticed the A students are the ones paying attention, answering questions & doing all the homework? * I know cause I have one of those A students! He spends hours everyday on homework! So much that he'll stay home instead of going someplace he wants to go! I try to encourage him to get out more but, he says Mom, its my future! School is anything but boring for him! It's exciting & he can't wait to go everyday! He's graduating next year & can't wait to get to college! Try harder!
Don't go and see how stupid that decision is as time passes. What you are learning now may not seem relevant but is for your future. Those without a high school education will live on the fringe of society, while the educated will live happier and with more wealth.
