Is Oceaography a good subject/class to take if i want to become a marine biologist?

I am going into my second year of college and I want to be a Marine Biologist. I signed up for a geology/oceanography class and want to know how much it will help me in the future if i still want to be a marine Biologist because I am working toward an associates in science

Yes, it is advisable to take oceanography if you want to become marine biologist, students with this type of career are advised to study math, biology and physics thus ocean logy would help assist them in becoming familiar with their line of work. http://marinebiology.bafree.net/majoring-in-marine-biology.php
