The Diamond Sutra is the oldest surviving book that can be verifiably dated, but the first book published isn't known. It is probable that it hasn't survived the centuries.

Currently, the writer of the first book is not known. However, the first writings were associated with the Chinese. During this time, they used blocks of wood and rice papers for printed literature.
