What Mountain was Jeremiah Johnson on?

I want to know a name of the Mountain That Jermiah Johnson was based on?

I think it is called Mount of the Holy Cross which is found near Vail in the state of Colorado. The film revolves around an American soldier who flees to the west in order to run away from the Mexican War and eventually becomes a mountain man. The movie was filmed in many locations in Utah. It was based on a real person, Liver Eating Johnson. He spent his time in Montana I believe.

In the movie he was in the Rocky Mountains. He moved around so it's difficult to determine exactly which mountain he was on. He was on many of them.
