Bruce Lee made him famous by putting him in his movies. Norris was in martial arts for years & became a student of lees when he developed his form Jeet kune Do. It's been said that Norris is the only person known to have beaten Lee in the US. Norris's only comment has been sometimes you get lucky. Aside from that he was a world champion middle weight karate champion for 7 years straight--he kicked a lot of ass. He then went into a successful movie career.I forgot Norris is the only westerner to hold an 8th degree bb

You see, Chuck Norris is in the most CHEESIEST movies ever. There'll be explosions, hails of bullets all around him; and he'd only have a little dirt on his face. Everyone around him will die, but he'll be fine. That's why.
I think he is famous for his fabulous acting intelligence. Let's take a glance about him:
Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born March 10, 1940)is an American martial artist and actor. After serving in the United States Air Force, he began his rise to fame as a martial artist and has since founded his own school, Chun Kuk Do. As a result of his "tough guy" image, an Internet phenomenon began in 2005 known as Chuck Norris facts, ascribing various implausible or even impossible feats to Norris. Norris appeared in a number of action films, such as Way of the Dragon in which he starred alongside Bruce Lee, and was The Cannon Group's leading star in the 1980s.He next played the starring role in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger from 1993 to 2001.
