Skin tumors are common in dogs, but it is often impossible to determine what sort of tumor it is by appearance alone. It may be a hematoma or an epidermal inclusion cyst, but the only way it can be truthfully established is by way of a biopsy. Take the dog to a vet for proper diagnosis.

The lump appeared within hours I thought it might be a bee sting or bug bite. She is not in pain when I push on it. Are these bites normally hard or soft?

My cousin's dog has this. The vet checked it for a tumour and it was just a fat deposit. It needs to be checked by a vet.

my aunt had a Bassett hound named sofie. she had the same thing it ruptured alot. we took her to the vet and they said it was a tumor later on she had to be euthanized. if you want your pet to have a chance of living you need to have it looked at.

We took her to the vet they took a sample of the fluid. The vet is going to get a second opinion tomorrow because she has never seen something like this. She prescribed Benadryl, simplicef 200 mg and a heat compress. She also said since sage doesn't have diarrhea and is not throwing up not to worry. She will call me in the morning with updates.
