In what linear sequence is genetic information encoded?

Report as

Genetic information is encoded in the linear sequence of units called nucleotides in DNA. The DNA consists of two long polynucleotide chains which are composed of four types of nucleotide subunits. However, chromosomes happen to be the carriers of genetic information. Check out http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK26821/ for more information.
