Would it be a good idea message this girl...?

..on facebook? Theres a girl whom ivr never met, but she lives in my general area, and shes best friends friends with one of the girls i know. and shes been invited to a party that i will be attending, i really would like to talk to her, should i message her?

If you are friends on Facebook then sure, you should message her since it's a social website. You can start by talking to her about the party. Then if you see her at the party you can talk face to face.
