The pill is often used to help regulate a woman's period. Also, 2 very basic rules for taking the pill:
#1 - USE A CONDOM OR OTHER BACKUP FOR AT LEAST THE FIRST MONTH, until your periods are regular!
#2 - TAKE THE PILL AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY. If you don't, you could be partially unprotected. Taking it in the morning on Monday, then at bedtime on Tuesday, messes with your system.
Get a pregnancy test before the doctor gives you a new prescription. It's not a good idea to be on birth control pills when you are pregnant.

You should probably talk to your ob-gyn again just to be sure, however it's not abnormal to skip periods when you are on the pill.

Go back to dr. And start writing everything down so you can give them all the facts. Seems your body is making a lot of adjustments. If I were you I would use a back up method or none at all. It's to much to wonder if you are pregnant or not with trying to get your cycles to be regular too.
Go to dr
Use condoms till you want baby or pills are working out better for you
Or go off pills and get pregnant then you will be more regular
Best of luck!

Well my family has a past of irregular menstruation but no one in my family has ever been that irregular. As far as I know the odds are you're pregnant. I suggested you talk to a doctor and see what they tell you but odds are you're pregnant.

You could take a home pregnancy test to rule that out; if you don't get your period soon, since it's been since april for your last one, then go have a pelvic exam. You maybe could have contracted an STD (i hope not), but if your period doesn't start, and you're not pregnant, then it would be wise to go in and find out for sure or find out what the problem really is.

Well I def no I dnt hav an STD. I've only been with one person,my bf, for three years. And he only had sex with one other person and he used a condom. Lol. Like wen I went to the doc last month she was sayin that since my periods aren't coming often like they shud that I may hav problems getin pregnant. So she gave me a high dose of pills to c if it will help to turn it on and start to try to get regular. But since I stared them I've been having period like cramps from last week till today. And there's been no blood. And me and my bf dnt use condoms anymore. And I take my pills everyday. I'm 19 now but will b 20 on October 17th.

Cool mom is right. If you chose to stop using condoms as soon as you started the pill, you could be pregnant. The pill isn't active until after the first month on them. After switching the type of pill you are on, that needs a month to be active too.
You need to take a test and call your dr. You either have your body all out of wack, have an STD from not using condoms, or are pregnant.

Well I def dnt hav a STD cus I've been with my bf for three years now and besides me he's only had sex with one other girl and he used a condom. And I had a very irregular period even before the pills and that's the reason I got on them to help regulate it. I started this march that jus passed but on may 1st I had ta go to another doc to get a diff pill cus the other I cudnt afford anymore. And wen I went to the same doc last month I told her I still havnt had a period since April 2nd and I taken the pills everyday. So she proscribed me with a stronger dose hoping it wud help to regulate but startin last week all the way till today I've been having cramp-like pain but no blood. I'm 19 but will b 20 on October 17th.

But did still use condoms a full month after starting pills and when they switched it to a different one? The pill doesn't work for a full month.
I'm glad you feel you can't get an STD , but things do happen. People do cheat and then spread STD's to their partner. It happens all the time. I would keep talking to your doctor though.

Well when they did switch the pills we still didn't use condoms cus I thought we would still b good. And it's not that I dnt think I cnt get an STD, it's jus that ino I've been faithful and so has my bf.
