An australian named a system of water conservation "key-lining". I need more info

It involves furrowing a field at regular intervals. Apparently the "author" published something , ? booklet, small book, which is no longer available in print. Would like to get hold of a copy please.
My location: Melbourne Australia
Reason: interested!

Key lining is a technique used to capture water and increase the fertility of the soil. However, little information is known about the system of water conservation by an Australian and how it works.
