How To Install Laminate Flooring Around A floor vent

Report as

If I understand you question correctly and you are talking about a duct vent in the floor the easiest way is to unscrew or simply pull up the cover on the vent. Then lay the laminate flooring over the hole. Cut the hole out even to the side of the opening. Then replace the cover. If for some reason you can not do this they make molding in many shades that can be glued down to make the opening look finished.

Yeh I'm lost. What's the problem? You will need to drill some 5/32 pilot holes in the flooring where the screws for the vent goes. Don't just run those screws in the laminate.

Create a notch where the vent is and cut the flooring to assume the shape and size of the vent, now install the flooring. Get some more elaborate tips here http://www.lowescreativeideas.com/idea-library/videos/HowTo_install_laminate_flooring_0808.aspx.
