What helps get your hair blonde? (read details)

I have dirty blonde hair and it's darker in the winter and lighter in the summer. I heard that lemon juice helps it get lighter, is that true? if not what helps it get lighter/blonder?

Lemon juice is indeed a natural hair lightener. Cut two lemons in half, and squeeze directly on to your clean hair. If necessary, use more lemons. After applying the juice, use a wide-toothed comb to help dispense lemon juice thoroughly through hair. Then let it dry. Spending a couple of hours in the sun will help brighten your hair faster. Even though lemon is acidic it also contains natural oils so it won't dry hair out too much. Using a good conditioner when washing the lemon out will restore softness and shine. This will work great right now, when the sun's light is more direct and the temperature is pleasant enough to be outdoors for a few hours.

I heard that lemon juice works too and one of my friends whom has red hair put a little on her hair and it turned it blonde. I have darkish blonde hair in the winter too but I think it gets lighter in the summer

Yes the lemon juice does work. My friend tried it an it looks awesome! Also, sit out in the sun it really helps as u know. Every summer people ask me of I highlight my hair because it gets so light in the summer!

Lemon juice does work. Also John Frieda has a line called go blonder which helped lighten my hair. You also could try a purple shampoo which helps tone down yellowy tones making them more blond
