how does ocean regulate its salt content?

Report as

An ocean is able to regulate its salt content with the help of halite. Halite regulates the amount of sodium ions present in the water. It is typically formed by the evaporation of salty water and forms rock salt deposits to reduce the amount of sodium ions in the water when it becomes too salty.
