How can I lose weight

I'm 13, weight 159 and am 5'7 1/2.. But I'm over weight. Don't tell me to eat right because I already do that.. Its just that I never get out of bed!! My mom doesn't let me go outside because she is afraid {I live in the Bronx} So how am I suppose to lose some weight.. Btw my prom is the 15th and I wanna slim down particularly my thighs and arms..and I have high cholesterol {If that changed things} PLEEASE HELP

Alright, I struggle with the same problem. I'm your age. I weighed 200 pounds now 190. I'm not proud. But what I'm doing to lose weight(and its working) is increase my water intake. NO soda. NO fast foods. No excuses. And I'm gunna say it. EAT RIGHT. Which means small portions, more water. Then, just get up every now and then and walk around the house. I don't get out much either, but I lost a good 5 pounds just this week. I started two weeks ago.

But sometimes my mom doesn't want/feel like cooking and she doesn't buy groceries for me to make something for myself..

Don't give me that. If you're really determined to lose weight, you need to stop thinking about food and start thinking about burning off what you already have. For example just stretching will work. Look up some stretches that help burn fat in places you want.
You don't need a big meal. Just a small bar, or maybe even a little baggie of cereal will work.

Here's something you can do now. Get off the computer. Plan a heathy meal. I'd suggest rice. Rice is a good small and filling meal to have. Get down, and do some stretches.

Ok first do some work out tapes on tv or aerobics.then do some jumping jacks and sit-ups or push ups.if you cant go outside take my adjust and that should work if you got direct tv (like me)or Comcast it anything except regular cable find a workout channel and do some short exercise but better get on the a mobile phone or computer and do taboo or hip hop abs.trust me this should help it help my aunt after her labor

All of the workout shows I have are only on at like 2am to 6am on school days..

See if your school library has exercise DVDs. I'd be surprised if your public library doesn't have a good selection. The key to losing weight is really pretty simple: burn more calories than you eat. There are lots of exercises you can do at home by yourself, but you have to get out of bed and move that body!

You can only get high cholesterol from eating unhealthy greasy foods so just cut back on that and don't be insecure
