What will happen if South Korea go on a full headed war against the North Korea?

We will be drawn into the conflict, we have had American troops on the DMZ for decades now. With the introduction of a larger Naval presence in the yellow sea, I don't see how we can't be drawn into the conflict. The Korean area has now become the most dangerous zone in the world.
