Anything American. I love Jeep, Ford, GMC, Chevy, and Pontiac even though I can't drive yet. I would say Jeep- Liberty or Grand Cheokee, Ford- Escape, GMC- Jimmy, Chevy- Blazer or Silverado short bed, and Pontiac- Vibe or G6. Those are my choices for my first car when I get to drive. :D ~Alicia
Well, that is to me at least a very personal question. What is a good first car or truck to anyone is to me based on the critia of the person. I.E... who you are and how you feel and your psychology of what you would enjoy spending all of your driving time in. I must admit I love big black sedans either Cadillac or Town Car. The reason is I like to be seen as the bad guy mafia type not to be bothered or pestered so I drive a Cadillac with tons of Cadillac labels on the front licesne plate, and the hood, and all the stuff inside the car as well it make the persona of what I wish to fantasies about while going to work, the groceries, the doctors, or where-ever. Some who drive the sports cars I imagine think like wow what would it be like to be James Bond? Where as people who go towards jeeps, trucks, Grand Cheokees are more the explorer are exploreres themselves inside. I guess what I am trying to say is look for the car or truck inside yourself and think what best says me and then buy that car or truck.
i use to be in the business and you couldn't give me a Honda or Toyota. the Kia 5dr Rio is a good choice. i has a 10 yr power tranny warranty and a 5 yr bumper to bumper on everything else. for about another $1200 you can get an additional 5 yrs on the bumper to bumper. if you want something else the Kia forte is another good choice and same warranty. smaller or bigger is up to you. the sx gives you just about all options but if money is an issue then the ex is your other choice on both models. i have a 2011 kia forte 5dr sx with about 10,000 miles on it. so far thank god only needed an oil change and a state inspection. good luck with the choice you need.
I'm sorry, but most of these answers are full of bullshit. american cars are pieces of garbage, plain and simple. the only american car that can last a while is a ford or chevy truck, but stay away if you don't want to be paying a huge gas bill. BY FAR the best first cars are JAPANESE... HONDA, TOYOTA, MAZDA, NISSAN, all great cars. they will last so long and are easy to repair if they decide to stop working, (which is rare).
