What's that supposed to mean? I'm talking about rapping about real life situations. What people can actually RELATE to. YaKnow' , not just repeating "rack city chick, rack rack city chick, ten ten ten twenties on them t**ies chick" . --

They rap about what they know, and they rap about what will sell. That pretty much answers your question.

It's always been that way. To me rap isn't for kids. Listen to music that's more on your level. Don't try to be grown.

So you've listened to Not Afraid and assume all Eminem is the same? Cuz if youve really listened to his earlier stuff hes not that different than todays rappers. True, he does have some that are about things u can relate to (ie: not afraid)...but most of them are about his drug addiction, hating Kim, sex, rape, etc.

What are you talkin about ? When I said Eminem is the realest I obviously know because I've listened to all his music. He talks about his dad walking out, his mom, the music industy, he even tries to be funny in his songs. He does sometimes talk about that too but not as much compared to today's rappers.

i have rap on my tunes that are indeed repping life.. have some solid ones.. while NOT much of a rap aficionado, sometimes im in the mood for a good "beat".. sad how these songs clear the dance floor however (more often than not) when im at a good club; some of the rap songs in my library are "positive" and fun (most are not). not completely dif from other genres.
