What has happened to our inspiration?

even in the mid 2000s we had ideas like pokemon, recess, the mp3 player, and m&m minis. we have created so many good movies, and cartoons, but now we are just copying the previous decades, and people are entertained by things like pikachu dressed up as a mouse or something, we are entertained too easily, and are copying the 80s mainly, and are running out of ideas why? I mean they are copying ideas of ideas that were already copied, like spiderman trilogy, which copied the comic book.

It is true that we are copying ancient generation, but on another level. We are adding up what they didn't have. We have the computer technology, and the animation thing is just taking over the market. They didn't have such a powerful technology, and we're coming up with new things.

Well, this radical idea of big government decided to take hold, and is slowly choking the life out if this once-great country. It is because of this that our inspiration is gone, coupled with the fact that Ronald Reagan is dead.

the government doesnt have alot of say in the movies, besides not allowing certain things too be popularized, but the internet can help with that.

The government has more control than you think.

ya its true that these things are happening. but all the creative and inspiring people are not dead yet. we recently had the hunger games movie, which is a novel adaptment and its quite legit. its just that the creative people are becoming lesser and lesser, because people give more importance to "face value" of things, i.e. how they look. we also have sooooooo many singers these days, but you can see that most of them are crap and very less can touch people's hearts with their music, the way its meant to be.
