Who was the roman emperor who wrote a series of famous philosophy books called "Mediations"

That would be Marcus Aurelius who was the Roman Emperor for 161 to 180 AD. In total, he wrote 12 books called Meditations. They were written in highly educated Koine Greek. You can read all about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditations.
