Try talking to him if you see him again. If you don't see him again it could be the remnants of a dream. That has happeaned to me before having a piece of my dream stay with me when I wake up. That sounds just llike the set up of this one movie I saw a while ago!
You shouldn't be scared it was a friendly ghost. he probably lived there before you. If it the glow was black then you would need holy water because it would be a demon. Try not to let it scare you ok.Hope this helped

I would reccomend getting a knight light, mabye research the history of the house. I believe that it should be harmless, I dont personally believe in ghosts, but if it was one, what need for you would it have? I would suggest the next time you see it say are you ok, and Id be willing to bet it will just float away. I believe that you could have been dreaming, it could have also been a entity of some kind. whatever you do, dont follow it, unless it seems worried, if it seems curious, or evil, I would just act like you dont see it, and go along with your bussiness.

I've never seen anything but there are spirits where I work. You can hear them and sometimes feel them. Not as in touch you but sense when they are next to you. I work at night alone so it freaked me out at first but now I am use to it. You may have seen a spirit. I know it freaked you out just seeing it as it would me but it was probably friendly or it would have done something to scare you. Find out about your house's previous owners.
I believe you, but i believe in ghosts. i think you have nothing to be worried about, as most ghosts are friendly. I myself had a ghost encounter once, a restroom door slamming on its own. but remember, it wasn't in your head. It was real. Ghosts are out there, and most are friendly. Most importantly though, almost all ghosts are just as afraid of you as you are afraid of them!

If you see him again, tell him to go away, yell at him. Spirits will leave if they are unwanted. Get some Sage and use it around the house... it worked for me. I had a similar experience, it is scary.
Well I won't believe in ghost until I see one but I would just let it go for now and worry about it if it happens again. Sometimes if you wake up unexpected you may not be in the right state of mind all the time or know exactly where you are. Back when I was in high school, my first year of band camp, I thought I was seeing things in my dorm room and was having strange dreams that seemed so real but I think it was just because I was not used to being in a room shared with three other people or staying a week away from home. Now I think it was all just dreams and things inside the dorm that could have been tricking my eyes and you may have had your eyes tricked from waking up so early in the morning.
for you guys i do not know how you get rid of these things but here in botswana those things are common but it depends on whether you believe them or not all you can do is pray a lot...and at the same time ask your parents questions about your house and dig up more information about it..hope that helps
I don't think he was there to hurt you. I know seeing something like that can be scary, but anything we don't truly understand usually is. He may just be someone who used to live there checking out the old homestead. If you see him again, just tell good night and try to go back to sleep.
I would also ask your sister if she has seen anything since she believes you. She maybe afraid to say anything since your parents don't believe you.
If it was white and glowing it was most likly an angel. Next time you see it or if you see it, try listen to see if it says something. Cause guosts are just a made up story to scare people. Just listen and stay calm. And if it was a demon it would not be in a form of a man. It would be a dog or something.
If it was something: The person that sees the ghost probably gave something to the ghost in life, and now the ghost will stay with the person until that object is removed from their grave OR the ghost is attached to some structure or object and will follow that object around and stay within a certain distance of the object.
Someone: The ghost is not there to harm you but is attached to you (i.e. they were family, a lover, a husband/wife, etc. in life and now want to stay with you in death as well). You can not rid yourself of the ghost (well, you could probably be baptized, but I'm an Atheist, so I wouldn't know), but know that the ghost is not there to hurt you.

Have you been doing anything that can be connected to occultic practices? such as a ouji board, palm reading, tarot card reading or even reading books about occult practices? If you have this spirit that you saw my be trying to tell you that you need to stop, that you are dealing with thing you know very little about and that you could harm yourself, others or even you family members. some people are born with the natyral ability to do such thing and if you didn't get it naturally then you are trying to force something that you NEED TO LEAVE ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he didn't seem that he meant to harm you in any way I would try to approach him and find out who he is.. If not I would do research on the history of your house it may give you info on why he is there and who he is.
its a ghost or a demon..you should pray to go away from you..or if not,move out..something like that happenn to me but it was different..something was starring at me like a black shadow but i saw its evil eyes..but ti went away and never came back...its all real and i understand ur scared.
I have read everyone else's answers and I have to tell you that you probably did see a spirit. I have seen one myself, but it was nothing like yours. It was a white, misty, upright form that seemed to float from room to room. I have heard so many people describe seeing the spirit in the same form as you, however. I can only tell you this. NO ONE should try to talk or communicate with ny spirit by ouji board, senace, or even have their palms read, or even a tarot card reading. People that do so are only inviting trouble that they cannot handle. I have seen people play round with this stuff and either they or someone they care about get hurt. It isn't always physical but most of the time it is. God has blessed me with the ability to close any portal that any of these dumb people open. Well I would say pray to God hun. I believe that it was a demon. If you pray to God and tell that demon to go away then it will. I would also suggest praying over your home. My family did that. Pray pray pray. Prayer is a powerful thing.

Pray,pray,pray. I live in a Christian family and we have ghost encounters all the time.But all of them have been good,friendly spirits that are not evil.
Here are examples.1.My grandfather told me that when my aunt moved out he was looking through old stuff to put into the empty room.I guess he fell asleep and then in the middle of the night,he woke and saw a young woman around 13 with an old dress probably from the 1930's.And next to her holding her hand was a boy around 7-8 years old
He didnt say anything to them.But as soon as they met eyes,the spirits flew up through the ceiling.they never hurt him. 2.My great Grandmother has passed away and she used to live in the same house I live in.My father said once He saw my great gma walking through the hallways of our house.I thought she was only there to visit us or protect us.

1.In my home we are Christian and above our door is a Christian symbol.A fish.drawn with olive oil.Weird i know but my dad says it keeps evil spirits away.I think that his spirit was an old relative and just wanted to protct you or see how you are doing.did he look similar as you?
If you feel that it is an evil spirit that you saw, ask God to cleanse your home. Ask him to free your home from all spirits, for him to send those spirits where they belong. If you don't feel that your own prayers are enough, then call the pastor at your church, tell him or her what happened, and ask him or her to come and cleanse and bless your home.

You shouldn't be scared. That was most likely an angel. It may sound weird but it happens all the time when God wants you to do something. Take Mary for instance, God sent an Angel to her and told her she would have Gods son when she was just a teenager. I think you should be blessed.
scary yes! my mother had a wonderful outlook on this she told me never fear the dead the dead can't hurt you.. be scare of the living.. the living will hurt you! go to your library look up the history of the house.. KNOWLEDGE is power.... and pray out-loud to jesus/ asking they are shown the light!

i would try to ignore it. i lived in a haunted farm house for a while and my step dad passed away recently in my new house so i see things i dont know if its in my mind but i seem to feel better when i ignore all of it and try to carry on with life. there is no reason to be scared just believe that you can protect yourself\n

congrats you have the 6th sense. join the club. my friends and i have the same things but in different catagories. my friend No0b has the same one you do. he started talking to it and it left him alone. i can't do this but i know things i shouldn't. such as my friend missa's passwords and missa's bf's dad's bank code. plus i can read palms and cards.
ghosts don't exist. but jinn do. i wouldn't say ghosts and jinn mean the same thing, because ghosts are dead people who become alive, and that cant happen. but just like there are humans and animals, God also has creatures called jinns. they can sometimes be seen by ppl, but not always. most ppl cant see them. they can take form of other ppl and animals, etc. there are good and bad in jinns as well, just like in humans. of course since God gave jinns the power to be "invisible" and take form of other things, the bad ones use that to do bad things. like haunt you. others are ok. so either its your imagination or its a jinn. of its a jinn and you were a Muslim like me, i would tell you what to read for protection if that jinn is bad.
In my opinion, it was the person who owned the house last. They could of died and did not want to leave the house. Many ghost stay after just for there own reasons.

Yea,, and i am so scared to i am 10 and i looked up color blindness test i presses the 2nd or 3rd one then there was these questions saying to type the number you see there was 5 questions answers were 12 34 91 67 and the last one was blank so i just typed a random number then a screaming voice went on and a really scary face my grandmother was almost coming up stairs i got scared and shut it off i didn't tell anyone this happend today about 20 minuets ago :(
At night, wish on the wishing star without saying the words out to anybody. Just say it in your heart. Jesus will hear it and maybe the wish will come true if your lucky. :)
