Someone told me vinegar helps but I've never tried it. Didn't want to smell like an Italian sub sandwich.

You generally can't stop the skin from peeling because that is part of the healing process. However, you can reduce it by applying a quarter-sized amount of moisturizing body wash onto an extra soft washcloth when you are in the shower. Pat the area of the sunburn with an extra soft towel and apply moisturizer again. For more information, visit http://www.ehow.com/how_2363381_reduce-skin-peeling-from-sunburn.html.

You can buy gel or lotion made from the Aloe plant. This will soothe your irritated skin and also moisturize it to keep from peeling.
