How do you know when you have to divide a fraction

Usually, when a fraction is to be divided, there is a division sign. When dividing a fraction by another, turn the second fraction to a reciprocal, multiply both fractions, and then simplify your answer. Check out www.mathsisfun.com/fractions_division.html for more on the same.

if it's fraction to fraction cross multiply then divide, if not and a whole number put that number ove 1 then do teh same. (what you do to one side do to the other)
