The dimensions of prism B are three times the dimensions of prism A. The volume of prism A is 384 cm3. What is the volume of prism B?
If the edge to edge ratio of two simillar solids is 3:1, then the area to area ratio is 9:1, and the volume to volume ratio is 27:1.
You would think 128cm^3 its 3 times smaller divide 384 by 3. But make a test Ex. 1*2*3=6, 3X6X9=162 = 6*27= 6* 3^3 so you have to divide by 27. 384/27 =14.22222= 14+2/9 (rationalize irrational)NOTE: Press the windows key (next to ctrl on the bottom left) windows+r brings up the run command you can type "calc" then enter to bring up the calulator faster.
