I am filling irish visa form for my father. it asks the no. of dependent children and i cant decide if i fall in the category or not? help.

I reside in a country where the concept of dependent child aid does not apply and so such qualification doesn't apply as well. I am 23 and going to turn 24 after 2 months. I am working in a bank and earning salary. I live with my parents and am single. should i mention myself as a dependent child?

No, a dependent child would be a child that is supported by the parent(s). Although you live with your parents, you have your own salary so you are supporting yourself.

No. I believe the term is similar in Ireland as in the US. A dependant child would be a minor child, or an adult who one is not mentally capable and depends on there parents not only for food and shelter, but to make legal decisions as well.
