Yes you're hungry. That happens to me sometimes especially during periods of stress. Just start with liquids & work your way up slowly to solids. Eat small snacks during the day until you gain a full appetite back.
If you feel really hungry but do not feel like eating anything, you should kick-start it with a salad or just a simple snack so as to get your appetite right first. I think I love taking puddings and salads more when I am not into eating so much. I hope this helps.
It is possible you may be thirsty. We sometimes can confuse thirst with hunger. You can try to drink water and see if this fulfills your need.
But if water doesn't do it, you may need some food or a specific type of food. Listen to your body and it will let you know. The idea for that food will just pop into your head and you will want to eat it.
Sometimes when we don't know what we want, we need vitamin C which is in fruit. You can keep trying things until you feel satisfied and content. Trust your body to let you know when you have found the right thing. : D
