Is there any product, natural or otherwise that will repel dogs from choosing a particular corner of my yard for their bathroom?

A fence is not an option as the dog in question actually lives inside an apartment that is within the fenced in yard that is our complex. I know it is not the dog's fault and it does not do it every day, but I am cleaning up dog poop for someone else's dog several times a week and I am getting very tired of it.

YES!! Put up a sign that says "If I have to pick up ONE more pile of YOUR dog's feces, then I am gonna cram some down your throat!" :) I had to put a sign up in my own yard that said "My dog is FINE, mind your own business!" b-cuz people kept checking to see if it was on a leash or if it had water

Seriously Nate, I have considered putting it on THEIR door step in a bag instead of in the trash so that they can experience what I am stepping over in the morning. I worry that if I create a enemy, they might key my car or have someone else do it.

I hear ya! Retaliation can be a beeeotch!! It's 6 of one and half dozen of the other. Do the dogs owners know that this is peeesing you off?

They were allowed to get the dog because they promised the landlord that they would clean it up. No I have not spoken to them. The thing is that they are lazy and can let their dog out at night because the entire yard is fenced in. The grass is in front of my part of the building :-(

Wow! Look! It's Scotty! Where ya been man, back on your home planet?! Great to see ya!

I've seen an ad for some kind of low frequency device that only dogs can hear and they hate it, so they stay away.

Ask. Kuu, it drives me absolutely insane!!! We live on a corner where we get lots of "$#!+ machine" traffic...It's actually illegal for the owner to leave it, so I remind them of that fact...with my Louisville Slugger in hand...

Irresponsible owners make me crazy too!

Ha! I can picture that!

You should do the Capone/Baseball speech from "The Untouchables" right before you hit a home run with his head!

This sort of situation really stinks b-cuz it's not the dogs fault, ya know. I have my poop bags with me wherever I go

I know, and I am not mad at the dog either, just the owner. I want to be all Zen like and not let it bother me, but it does :-(
Report as
It's POOP!! Of course it should bother you!! Dog ownership isn't a right, it's a privelege, and one that a LOT of people don't deserve!!

I wonder what their home looks like? "Hey kids, go have a little fun in the grass"...
