Yes. You can have boy friends but boyfriends.... its silly.
You can't really date can you? You should be concentrating on other stuff when your a little kid.

No harm in having a "boyfriend" ... I mean most times it is just a way for young kids to relate to a serious adult thing... It doesnt really mean they are going to date...

Little kids don't need to relate to serious adult things. That's half the problem with kids today. They want to grow up too fast. There is no need for it.

Yeah. I agree they try to grow up way too fast. :) just saying that that is why they think they need it!..i didnt go on a date til I was 14 and when I did my sister went with me!

Little kids are always mimicking the people they love that are older then them! I have a cousin who is 6 and he does everything that I do, he sits the way I do, eats the things I eat, says some things that I have said! He also does it with my dad and older brother!

Age is just a #... Maturity matters more than age. But I do think 11 is still too young for anything serious. Maybe 15-16 is a good time to really start thinking about it.

I believe there is a difference between loving your child and being in love with someone I met my husband at 16 but feel as if I were to young to understand all the battles emotions and things you go through although love is possible at any age I think 11 is to young to understand everything that comes with it the pressures and all. I want my daughter to love but pray she do sent fall in love until later in ,life when she gains maturity self esteem achieves all her goals lots of sacrifice comes with relationships

No. Not too young, but when you fall in love so young you take the risk of your feelings changing and falling out of love. :( because you truly are a different oerson when your an adult then when your a teen and you have no way to know if feelings will change.

It is not wrong to like a boy at any age. I had a boyfriend when I was 5 years old. At the age of 11 a boyfriend is someone that you play basketball with or wave to when you are walking your dog. Or maybe you give him the cookie from your school lunch because you know it is his favorite kind.

Exactly. ;) I had a "boyfriend" in 5th grade. We held hands and hung out at resses and would talk on the phone sometimes in the evenings.. It doesn't mean that your going to have sex or marry someone just because you call him your boyfriend.

Exactly. My 5th grade boyfriend would walk around holding my hand. Call me on the phone in the evening to say hi... Just because an 11 yo has a "boyfriend" doesn't mean it is anything serious. :)
