I don't think that way. It's a shame that a lot of people are so judgmental. I expect the big thumbs down but it will be from everyone who thinks you should think like they do or your wrong. go figure.
It's not that. It's just that they have found something so wonderful in God that they just want everybody else to experience it. And, they just get a little upset when others don't believe. But, to each his own.
In the fundamentalist Christian church I was raised in back in the Dark Ages, we were taught anyone who did not believe as our preacher taught was not going to heaven. Anyone who questioned these teachings was in the Devil's grasp or was being used by him to mislead others. If you ask questions, doubt, or start thinking independently about the Bible or anything else it's off to Hell with you. Well I knew I was done with this by the time I was ten. I just think too much. Sadly, this religious extremism seems to be rearing it's ugly head again. I have family still in this church. It's mellowed a little, you can wear make up and play cards now. But their membership is growing.
I'm not sure. I think they might think ppl who don't feel they have a higher power or authority to answer to have lower morals? Please note I am not saying they don't just a guess as to what others might be thinking
How many people are you talking about who tell you that? And how many people are left in the world that you don't know? Here is the short summary: I speak only for those I know who adhere to the Bible. It says that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". So no one is singling out anybody. "All" means 'all of us' are evil. This is not hard. Confess simply means 'to agree with'; so I agree w/ God I am a sinner. As such I stand condemned in God's court. I can try to work off the penalty; or accept Christ's grace payment on my behalf by trusting in His death, burial and resurrection. The first option was hopeless, so as a 19 year old AF Airman I chose Christ. I have never regretted it.
