How do I keep my homemade lemonade from getting bitter?

I squeezed two fresh lemons into a pitcher and then filled it with water and added some sugar (so I'm not pinching my face with the tartness!), and it was fine until this morning when I tried it (I made it two days ago) but today's glass is really bitter. Is there something I did wrong? I cut the lemons after and put them in to keep some flavour.

Well, I think it's because there are no preservatives. The same thing happens with orange juice, sometimes even the store bought kind. It's just best when it's fresh. Something else you can do so you're not always juicing is freeze the lemon juice into ice cubes...

I guess I'll get a smaller container and only squeeze one lemon at a time. I didn't realise just how much I could get from two of them :) Thanks kuuipo!

Use a tablespoon of honey to sweeten your lemonade

You have to make sure you don't put the skin of the lemon. Only put the meat of the lemon to keep it from getting bitter.

At the end of the first day you make it, take the rinds out. They soaked long enough. a good trick to kill bitterness once it sets in is to add a miniscule amount of salt, and stir it well

is the skin of the lemon in there that might be ur problem

Have you tried looking up lemonade recipe on the internet in case you were missing something? Maybe you have to use a different lemon if that's a bitter kind of lemon you used.
