How do I stop the habit of cracking/popping my jaw?

I try not to do it and I know it isn't healthy to do but sometimes I forget and it can be frustrating at times. Any advice would be great.

The first thing that you have to do is to acknowledge the fact that it is a bad habit and you should stop it. You can then ask a close friend to help you get through the habit by monitoring you. Keep reminding yourself that you have to stop cracking your jaw until you overcome it.

Put a rubber band on your wrist. When you have the urge to pop your jaw, snap your wrist with the rubber band. You'll learn after awhile. Or at least, I would hope. Also if you find something productive to do, you're less apt to do things out of boredom, like popping your jaw.
