My basement keeps taking on water. Its new construction and has taken on water in the front and back of the town house. What should I do?

You need to take off the first 2-3 feet of the basement and have a new layer. There should be a plastic bag in the layer, to protect the water from flowing back back to the basement. This can only be done by a professional contractor.

Call your home insurer and prepare to sue your contractor.

Get with the builder. This is unacceptable. Call your insurance company as they will pay for damage. Get several companies to come out and tell you how to handle the problem and choose the one that makes the most sense. Is anybody else near you having this problem? It'll only get worse. Also, don't put anything down on the floor.
