When did the Himalayan Mountain Range begin to form? for my history class :)

The Himalayan mountain range it is believed to have began forming in the Upper Cretaceous period, which is about 70 million years ago. It was actually formed through the convergence of the extensive Indian and Eurasian plates. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Himalayas for more information.
