How can I report a business for not paying an intern in CA

Report as

You report a business for not paying an intern in California through the local Labor Board or commission. You will have to visit the office in the locality that the violation occurred. The California labor laws on paid compulsory training should follow the federal regulations and the current state statutes. Visit an attorney for more professional advice.

Do you have a contract?
Many interns are unpaid and do it for the experience only.
In CA and all over.

Calofornia has very strict laws regarding interns..they cannot simply work for the experience . Iam not sure if that is nation wide..but i do know this is true in CA.

Things have certainly changed with this part of the law. I am an L.A. native, and recently moved to Texas. But in the 90's I worked for a short time as an unpaid intern, for a San Diego CPA firm.
Of course, it's possible that they were running that intern program illegally.
Thanks for the heads up!
