They shouldn't because it takes away freedom of expression. Ruins my mood. Trust me I wear a uniform. And people say that you won't be bullied wearing a uniform because it's the same as everyone else's, but people at my school roll their skirts up and stuff so you can get bullied if your skirts too long.
I think uniform's a have a time and place. I am a workaholic, I've been working since 16. I have had to wear uniforms in every job, I was also in Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Kung Fu, Navy Cadets and Marching band for three years and a half. So uniforms are great in those aspects.
I also live the opposite side from a elementary school where if the parents can't read a sign, kids jump all over your property, swear like sailors and think that's perfectly alright. Oh and they wear uniforms.
A friend of mine had to look for a skirt for her uniform. It had to be a pleated grey skirt for school. Not only does no one except high end retail sell those but they are cheap material. I have other friends that based on hight and the style the skirt are made and handed out. she had a skirt that was half the size of a normal skirt and the stitching let go so you can look at the other girls and see where it let go and they began.
Overall? Uniforms are great for work, cadets schools if they give you the uniform and that the uniform in not falling apart all the time. But, trying to put kids in uniforms is ridiculous and a waste of good money that could be spent on other things.
EBlount: This is the country of the free. Teach children early to be more free and to have a choice within, which their parents allow. Hopefully the parents will teach them wisdom with good judgement, in order for them to make wise choices within a more free country than others.

No, it makes "undesirables" able to sneak on campus and blend in, than later punch the deputy principal when they get close enough, happened at our school. In 100 years uniforms will be museum pieces along with half of modern teachers. (fossils). Uniforms show you are dumbed down. Uniforms cost a mint, good op shop clothes cost under $10 for a full set.
NO NO NO I had to wear a uniform at one of the schools i went to, and I severely disliked it, and took some actions because of it, if i hadnt had that silly uniform i wouldna got in nearly as much trouble...
They shouldn't. Schools are already making us all the same. And everybody expects us to dress mainstream. I believe this is wrong! Its a sort of a discrimination really. Everyone should be accepted even if they decide to wear a dress made of trash. I mean who cares really as long as they are okay. If we allow more different opinions on clothing then different styles will get widely accepted and appreciated.
In America we are not a state of conformist. We are a Nation of individualist. As such we need to keep our individuality and our creativity as a people not let someone else do your thinking for you. Uniforms only have place on the teams to represent the School's as far as team games when playing other Schools as such. As a people of mixed societies and a melting pot of the World, America needs to unify Yes. But conformify No. We need to be able to stand both together nd apart as a free thinking individualistic Country that leads all the other Nations of the World by our example and it should be a good example not a cookie cutter society. Sincerely, Eeternal
no they should not because welll lots of people dont know dis cuz yall stupid but dey shouldnt bcuz dets how they express theyself and show dey swagg and uniforms is boring and very lame and its not a private school so y not cuz the administrators and principals is stupid in a way
Well maybe because if you wear uniforms people will know that you go to school and that people like try to hurt you or stuff. Also that if you wear home clothes you could express who you really are.Thats your opinion. Also if you wear uniform you could actually look like a scholar but i understand that these days teenagers wanna have there own style. :D :P

Yes Schools have dress codes so you can't wear anything outside the rules. I had to follow the dress code before uniforms came. The thing is what is a uniform. The high school I had attend wear red polo shirts and black pants for casual dress as a uniform. Others have other colors of shirts and pants. I don't think the young ladies have to wear skirts because they wear slacks. Most of them dress according to the schools colors. Consider gym uniforms, you wear what the school provides for gym class. The outside working world the kids plan to work in after they finish school has their dress code too. You dress according to the way they want you to look like or go find another job. You want to wear crazy clothes do it after school or work. Consider this, Firefighters don't wear shorts and T shirts to fight fires. why they would burn their legs and arms. If they wear these clothes they wear fire coats and pants to cover them. That is consider a uniform to protect and ID who they are.
to me yes and no why because wearing school uniform is part of school rule so we must participate and follow it. on the other hand, we should not always wear it because we should express ourselves in our own way.
yes students should wear uniform which shows equality among all races of children or high school kids.It shows that all are equal and not differing each other as a child of a rich person or a low grade person>>>>>>>>http://eduindian.com/edu-schooling/
yes.high school students should wear school uniform because it shows the decency of the school &students.By wearing the uniform dey will know the punctuality.see every school have different uniforms, but dere attitude is same'that children should wear uniform' and it shows the equality between them.and dey dont have feeling rich and poor.and dey should have d freedom to wear color dress.ofcourse all schools are accepting to wear color dress.see uniform is very important for every shool student i.e,may be a primary or secondary.till dey enter to the college
No. they don't do what every one says they do. Until you make them buy their uniforms at the same place where they all cost the same it won't work. Kids are smarter than adults give them credit for. They can tell just by looking at them where they came from & how much it costed. You can definitely tell the difference between Wal-Mart, K-mart, Penny's, Dillard's, Aeropostale & American Eagle. So there is still separation and judgments between them. My daughter's school requires uniforms. It's a public school & every school in our parish have to have uniforms. We all hate them. It costs more to send our children to school because we now have to buy two sets of clothes instead of one.
Yeah I think that it's good for students that wear the school uniform. Because uniform can show that who are they. And sometime the uniform that they wear look like more beautiful and handsome to students :)
