try to calm it down then he will calm down to you
Dogs' personalities can vary, so I don't think it's necessarily 'too' attached, but if you're very concerned you may want to see a vet.
He may have OCD, so take him to the vet for help or meds.
I'm no dog expert, but try leaving him a big bone to work on when you leave for work so he'll have something to focus on.
well my dog used to do that, but she never got abused, but do what i did:put her in a room and close the door and wait for a couple of moments and if she doesnt cry reward her with a treat and if she does cry dont open the door...that all i could thinkof..GOOD LUCK
Hi, It will take time for your new dog to adjust to you and his new home. He is jumpy because he was abandoned by his previous owners. Talk to him and assure him that you love him. then when you leave home tell him "you will be back soon" and leave the radio on for him. There is also a new show on t.v. on Wednesday, ch. 2 at 8 pm. You could check out the previous show on youtube., it dealth with a similar dog problem. Good luck. lucky87
You can help the dog to be independent by regularly having to leave him behind and train him on how to be alone. You can secure a cage for him where he can be sleeping and not on the same bed. Being too close to the dog leads to the attachment, but with regular practice it can be detached. You can also visit a dog care expert or a vet for advice on how to handle it.
