How has public support of government bureaucracy declined in recent years?

What actions can be taken to restore trust and confidence in bureaucracy

The government has become a nanny state suppressing individual freedom and therefore suppressing personal responsibility. Happily, the people are waking up. Watch for Obamacare to be overturn by either the supreme court or congress through repeal of the act.

The public support of government bureaucracy has declined in recent years because of a number of things but of importance is the lack of professionalism in how they carry their duties. There are many political appointees in the bureaucracy, and the environment has not been supportive or trusting. The best action to restore the trust is through vetting of people who take public offices.
