How do you start a workout routine?

Summer just started so I just wanted to get in shape. Im one of those people who need to have stuff planned but I have no idea how make one. Im a teen I like cardio, like jump roping. And Im targeting my abs and legs mainly. but i have no clue how to start a workout routine or what workouts i should do. so please help!

every other day do an intense cardio workout. on the days you dont do cardio, do muscle toning workouts. try getting a calendar and writing down your goal for every day and then checking the days off when you get them done. also, make sure you have one free day a week so your body can recover. also, drink lots of water, obviously its good for hydration but it also increases your metabolism which will help you lose weight. good luck!

just find some workouts that you like a keep at the 200cruchs one day the nothing after is a wast its better to just do 50 a day

Buy a workout dvd. The routine is all planned for you. Use it every morning, 5 or 6 days per week. Move to a more challenging routine when it starts getting easy.
