Will there ever come a time when the government will turn against all religions and ban all religious book including the bible and the karon

It seems that we're moving in that direction very swiftly because people just don't want to be bothered with any more religious people or places any more.

I wouldn't put it past them. I'm sure some politician will find something offensive in some religious writings( it already happened).Every year there is some book being banned because some cry baby got offended, its just a matter of time before they start on all religious works.Remember, votes matter to them, not our feelings.

Rash, the media is not "anti-islam", every time there's a terrorist attack they go out of their way to say "Let's not jump to any conclusions!"

Them when it turns out to be a muslim the media tries to avoid that part of the story, they don't wanna be accused of "islamophobia" ... or become the next target.

Hi B, You don't have to worry about that ever happening. Religious books will not be outlawed. This is a violation of our constitution, and the constitution is hard to change. The government funds many organizations that are christian based for programs for the poor, food banks, abused women etc. I don't hold this against anyone as it was a part of History but most book banning and burning has occurred from christianity, not the government

I got cha helixaqua. Good to hear from you again. I agree-our country is almost unrecognizable in some ways it seems. But, at least, we do still have a hope, and a drive within us to go forward and try to be fair and have freedom in our heart to care for our fellow man. Glad to see your comments again. Ask just seems to be a part of my life now. And, I'm glad for it. We better enjoy that while we can, right? lol, but really, who knows? So, I'll just enjoy it while we do have it.

Yes, helixaqua, I honestly do have a bit of an addiction with Ask sometimes. And, I'm not kidding! I deal with and go ahead and do what I should not put off doing cause I'd rather be on Ask, but it isn't always easy! I don't want to trade one addiction for another, so I'm workin' on it! It honestly is rewarding like you said. It's just real neat. Raises my blood pressure momentarily at times, relaxing at times, and honestly has even brought a tear. What can I say? And, Bubblious, thank you. I like your name. You both have a good day! I think I'm gonna go cook right now, or instead, maybe read a few more questions? lol

The burning of books containing "un-German ideas" by Nazi storm troopers and Nazi-affiliated college students in May 1933 was a symbolic act demonstrating that the new Nazi regime would not tolerate artistic, literary, scientific, or political ideas that differed from their own anti-Semitic, nationalist ideology, and also indicated they would use violence to silence any opposition.
In the early 1800s, over a hundred years earlier, the German-Jewish poet Heinrich Heine had stated, "Where books are burned, human beings are destined to be burned too."

The Christian soldiers, as one of the very first acts, burned the entire archeological library of Iraq, destroyed the invaluable artifacts from a civilization that were older than the bible's timeline of universe. The ancient manuscripts that were preserved in that library were the source of the better half of wisdom that we have today. I'd like to have your comments on this.

Well, i was raised to believe something along those lines would occure in the last years of the earth during the rule of the person we called the anti-christ. These days im less apt to take on face value everything i was fed by the traditionalists i grew up with.
However, i used wonder HOW that could happen and in recent years i have begun to understand how a single world political and religious system might occure. It occred once in ages past with catholicism so the bare bones are already there, the precident is there if you will, and attacks on Biblical faiths are growing. So i think its likely something similar to that will occure tho i am undecided on whether such things will occure before or after believers are taken up.
Also by 'Karon' i assume you mean the Quran or Kuran?

good point triple 6 what I don't get is that religions of the world are the ones who ban everything. Not neccessarily the government. Christians use to go into libraries and take them over, burning hundreds of books at a time. And now to be worried about the same thing happening to them is kind of Ironic, isn't it?
Report as
I totally agree with u WTG. Only if these people could see for themselves their tyrannies! Alas!

Thats christians... Im one of Jehovah's witnesses we have never done such a thing like the false christians and other religions. Jehovahs witnesses never intermingle with politics unlike catholics or other so called christians.
Report as
Doesn't these "so called" (as u call them) Christians or the Catholics that you refereed, claim the same "for" their creeds & "against" your creed?
Report as
Yes but the key difference is the way we worship god, how the bible says too with no pagan holidays or false teachings like hell fire. If you notice jws never intermingle with politics unlike the worlds false religions, that await judgement and certain death by the own governments it intermingles with.
Report as
U make an interesting case and I am certainly less bothered by jws feeling that. It's like a religion that respects humans. But maybe I'm way off base, I have not researched jws.

They have systematically destroyed the constitution and policy and loop holes and legal jargen. What happened to the right to bear arms? I will get arrested or harrased BY THE POLICE if I carry a gun. The constitution is being used as toilet paper by the regime of darkness. If you this it unrealistic to lose your rights to worship think again. Every day more rights are taken away from us and no one stand up because they are programmed to serve as slaves.

The bible does say that the governments will turn on religion. The bible also says that God will put it in to the hearts of the leaders, to turn on false religion. God is very angry at false religion because the bible says that the sins of false religion have all massed up to heaven. I can see this happening do to the fact of the church scandals, the greed and corruption involved with money, and all the wars that have happened in the name of God. But don't worry because in daniel 2:44 says that Jesus will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms. Then he says that he will set up a kingdom here on earth that will never be brought to ruin. In this new kingdom there will be no more corruption, we will be free from sin and the devils influence. Jesus will also bring back all those who have died, and they will live on a perfect paradise earth forever.

Government supported religion has always been illegal in America. Freedom of speech has been in place just as long. Your fears are unwarranted. Just because you don't get special treatment doesn't make you oppressed, and if you're an 80% majority and become oppressed, you deserve it.

Yes there will be a time when religion is banned this is when the beast (referred to revelations) will attack the harlot (also in revelations) which is the worlds empire of false religion and so armageddon begins after they crush the harlot they will come after the Jehovah's witnesses and try to crush us as well then god will intervene and crush all human governments and establish his kingdoms and lock satan away for a thousand years to release him for a short test for the humans still alive then he will be crushed and all those who stayed faithful will enjoy ERERNITY. :) so exciting.

regardless of any governments assurances to the contrary, religious freedom is not a right, it is a privilege. and since we have lived in a small, constitutional refuge until recently, if religion becomes a clear and present danger or threat to that refuge, it can be relinquished overnight. personally, it can't come soon enough for me and millions of other rational folks.

Not likely to ever happen, as there are too many people of a variety of faiths who would take issue with that. What does need to happen though, is politicians need to stop using their religion as a basis for making laws, and in general spirituality needs to go back to being a personal thing - something that is between a man/woman and his or her God(s).

When the time comes when religious texts are no longer an effective model for controlling the slave congregation they will not need to ban them. They will just make the masses believe something else. Slowly the majority becomes nonbelievers and evidence that the bible is a farce becomes stronger. True believers will wane and some will just deny it. Bibles are burned by the citizens and churches no longer make enough money to support themselves. The religion is consigned to the fate of all those preceding them also put in place for and replaced by a model of spiritual enslavement. Christianity, Catholicism, the Quoran believing religions all become a novelty to future generations and a source taught in schools about the dangers of religion. A few believers remain and swear by the book as the mass has a general consensus that it is just as valid as a stronger religion with more followers but the ppl who believe are sorta looked at like alien conspiracy theorists and in public no one lends credibility to the faith. The religions dies like sun worship and the world moves on.
