I can't find anything by that name....but it could be Sansevieria, which has some common names that are similar: Sword of Saint-George, Sword of Saint-Barbara, Snake Plant, Mother-in-law's Tongue

There's no information on sword's bane plant. Perhaps you meant sword bean, which is also called Canavalia gladiata. It's a domesticated plant species normally used as a vegetable in most central and south central India. It's also used as a fruit in some parts of Africa and Asia.
