What could be wrong with my arm?

Whenever I stretch my left arm, I have a really sharp pain in my elbow, and it has been like that for a couple days now. I went to a waterpark and went into the wave pool and it has been hurting ever since.

Maybe you pinched a nerve or have a slight bone fracture (crack). Just nurse it along or if it really gets worse, better see a Doctor and get an x-ray.

I guess the question is, did you just start swimming? If you did, it could be your elbow getting used to the exercise. Perfectly normal to get pains when starting a new exercise. Just take it easy, keep swimming but not as vigorously. It may hurt but you gotta keep it in motion or it will continue hurting! You can take Tylenol or advil when you go to exercise to help reduce pain. Good luck. Swimming is very good! If you have been swimming for a while now, maybe you twisted it or did something to injure it? Get it checked out If thats the case.

There are multiple causes of a pain like that and the best person to actually identify what it is specifically would be a doctor.

Something that I do know about, carpel tunnel syndrome, might originate in the wrist bu the nerves there run all the way up through the elbow, through the shoulder and across the back, and can cause headaches even though it seems the wrist is fine at the time.

The only real answer to your question, though, is to go see a doctor.
